🎤 All Mimic Party Sound Packs — Official + Workshop

Mimic Party ships with official themed sound packs — the store page names "animals, machines, voices, and more", and those packs are included with the base game, no separate purchase. Every round's reference sound is picked at random across the packs you own, so the three official themes form the default pool every group starts with. Every other pack in the table above is a Steam Workshop creation. Subscribing to a community pack adds it to the same random pool as the official ones, and the in-game pack maker publishes your own creation to the Workshop in a couple of clicks. The community entries we list are the Workshop's most-subscribed packs at the launch window — a snapshot taken on 2026-09-08. Community pack sizes sit around 20-70 sounds (community estimate, from player reviews), and single sounds are capped at a couple of seconds (community estimate, player-measured).

• Everyone at the table must install the selected packs before the round starts — the lobby shows exactly who is still downloading.
• If a pack author updates their pack, players report you may need to unsubscribe and re-subscribe before it syncs (the "player is still missing content" error is this).

You never choose a specific sound. When a round starts, the game draws the reference at random from the packs owned at the table, plays it once for everyone, then starts a shared countdown — one take, no second chance. Practical consequences: a larger installed pool means fewer repeats across a session (a common complaint about small packs is hearing the same sounds again and again), and a group that installs one big pack together will hear it constantly. Curate the pack list with your group in the lobby before you start.

Our honest take for a first session: start with the three official themes only. They come with the base game, cover animals, machines and voices, and give every skill level something recognizable. Add one or two big Workshop packs when the group wants references everyone knows — meme packs land hard with a table that shares the same internet culture, while gaming and anime packs reward the one superfan who will nail every reference. Whatever you pick, the sync rule applies: every player must have it installed before the round starts.
